Role of Sub stitu ents in Ex cited State Intramolecular

چکیده

The in creas ing in ter est in mo lec u lar sys tems ex hib it ing ESIPT re ac tion has trig gered – due to their broad field of po ten tial ap pli ca tions – an ex ten sive search for prop erly sub sti tuted com pounds with well-tai lored prop er ties. This re view is based on se lected pa pers deal ing with some com monly known ESIPT sys tems mod i fied by spe cific sub stitu ents. The re sults of sev eral stud ies con cern ing the rate of ultrafast ESIPT re ac tions in su per sonic mo lec u lar beams are pre sented. Ar ti cles re port ing on phototautomeric flu o res cence in so lu tions il lus trated a big role of sub stitu ents, which in flu ence the emis sion quan tum yield. The o ret i cal works pointed to the in creas ing role of ad vanced cal cu la tions in pre dict ing and un der stand ing the struc tural, elec tronic, and spec tro scopic prop er ties of di verse ESIPT-ca pa ble com pounds.
